Last fall, filmmaker Ian Cheney measured out a single square meter of otherwise uninteresting land behind his house. Using time-lapse cinematography, macro lenses, infrared cameras and microscopes, Cheney explores the tiny marvels of the seasons shifting over the course of a single year.
