Good News is the story of Edgar Gatto, owner of Good News Thrift shop–a place where conflicts in America play out around politics and poverty, homelessness, opioid addiction, and cities in transition. Gatto’s role in the neighborhood is a defacto social service, where he routinely provides a safe haven for those less fortunate. But the imminent redevelopment of the neighborhood, along with Gatto's own strong opinions, threatens to upset the balance.
