One eccentric family transforms a vacant monastery into a creative haven for their artistic endeavours. The home and its surroundings serve as the backdrop for kinetic sculptures built from discarded electronics and deceased wildlife.
Jarred Alterman is an award winning cinematographer and filmmaker who has worked in documentary, narrative, music and art related projects for over twenty years. He won best cinematography at Tribeca Film Festival for Contemporary Color (dir. Bill & Turner Ross) featuring David Byrne. He lensed two films that were NY Times critics picks: Bisbee ’17 (dir. Robert Greene) and The Proposal (dir. Jill Magid) and recently lensed two doc series: HBO's Mind Over Murder and Showtimes' Spector. He shot Walled Unwalled, a film and installation by Lawrence Abu Hamdan, which played at New York Film Festival, TIFF and won a Turner Prize at the Tate Modern. He has worked with Charles Atlas, Merce Cunningham Dance Co and regularly shoots for Art:21.
