Eastern Front
ABOUT
An urgent, raw, and powerful film from the frontline of the Russia-Ukraine War. Flowing seamlessly between shaky helmet cam footage capturing the heroic efforts of co-director Titarenko, a Ukrainian civilian called to duty as a paramedic in the volunteer unit, the Hospitallers, and vivid, intimate scenes of the unit on leave, eating with family and pondering the future of their country between dips in the lake, we are immersed in the conflict and confronted by the images, left only to ponder, why?
