Esther and her brother Pedro, a farmer defending his identity, live in El Remolino, a small community on the banks of the Usumacinta River, in Mexico. We follow the journey of their internal cycles and the greater natural cycle they face each year with the coming of the floods.

Documentary film director and photographer during the last 10 years. She studied the Master in Creation Documentary at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. As La Sandía Digital co founder in Mexico, she has directed over 20 short documentary films. Her authorial work includes “LA MAMI”, “EL REMOLINO” and the short “¿ME VAS A GRITAR?” were screened at most important film festivals and art institutions around the world such as Locarno Film Festival, IDFA, Festival San Sebastián, MoMA, SXSW, Zurich, Clermont Ferrand or Palm Spring. And awarded in festivals such DocumentaMadrid, Tempo, Morelia, FICUNAM, Málaga or D´A Film Fest among others.
