INSTALL: Sound, Light & Craig Colorusso
ABOUT
Enter the world of installation artist Craig Colorusso, who is transforming our environment through sculpture, light and sound. A series of audio interviews with the artist accompany a breadth of footage traversing the New England landscape, capturing three of his installations.
Kevin Belli is a documentary filmmaker, freelancer and educator. He got his start as the co-director of photography and editor on the film BEYOND BELIEF (Tribeca FF ‘07), which was filmed in the U.S. and Afghanistan. Next he was the DP and editor for the film THE LIST (Tribeca FF ‘12), which was shot over a four-year period in the U.S., Iraq, Egypt, Syria and Jordan. That same year he directed the short film INSTALL (CIFF ‘12) about installation artist Craig Colorusso. Kevin was also a co-cinematographer and co-editor on the Emmy-nominated film WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS, which had it's broadcast premiere on POV in October 2016. He then traveled back to Iraq and Nigeria as the co-DP for the film THE PEACEMAKER (Full Frame ‘16). Most recently, he directed the short film MUSIC FOR PEOPLE IN JAPAN (IFFBoston ‘21). Kevin works at Harvard University and has taught documentary filmmaking at Emerson College and Boston University as part of their AMP program. He lives in Somerville, MA.
