What I love most about film is its ability to stir emotions in people. I personally felt that as a kid, as I was swept up in the power of watching magic play out on the screen. I need to create work that allows me to express my own personal vision. So, I make films and I paint. In my view, they go hand in hand. They both tell stories. I received a BFA from the Maine College of Art and a BS in Art Education from the University of Southern Maine. I taught art for several years and then followed my passion for filmmaking. I studied at Maine Media Workshops and started producing TV segments for Maine Public Broadcasting. Around the same time, in 2003, I founded Wonder Dog Films. Wonder Dog Films has produced TV segments, TV ads, music videos, corporate and non-profit work. My independent films have traveled to a number of film festivals and have received various honors and awards in the US and abroad. I direct, produce, edit and work camera on occasion.
