Presenting a convolution of extended long takes, NO EXIT immerses viewers into the wetness and spatial disorientation of the subjects’ lives in this experiential documentary. The filmmakers often get so close to their subjects that audiences will be able to smell, touch, and taste them. But will they want to? There are several ways into the lives of those depicted on screen, but no way out.
