ARTIST PROGRAMS

Can I apply to more than one program in one year?

Yes! As long as your project meets the eligibility requirements for the individual program, you are more than welcome to apply to more than one artist program.

Can I apply to the Points North Fellowship (or another artist program) if I’ve already applied in the past?

Absolutely! If you applied in the past, we encourage you to apply again. The program is highly competitive, and applying more than once can be helpful.  If you’re applying again, we ideally would like to see updates or signs of progress in the project you’ve submitted in the past.

Can I apply if I’ve also submitted a film to the CIFF?

Yes!

Can I apply if I am not based in the United States?

Yes! However, please note: We are planning for an in-person gathering and will be adhering to any CDC travel restrictions and public health guidelines in place during the dates of the fellowship. For current guidelines, refer to the CDC website. Before applying, please consider if you will feasibly be able to travel to Maine for the dates of the fellowship. The exception to this is the American Stories Documentary Fund program, which will not involve travel in 2021.
