Documentary filmmaker Alison Murray follows the unconventional lives of carnival workers as they travel from fairground to fairground across the country. Running gaming booths, concession stands and various mechanical rides, these carnies don't make much money, but they provide each other with support and community that they couldn't necessarily find in everyday life. From a restless young lesbian to a veteran clown, this film presents the people behind the amusements.
