Axel Danielsson is a Swedish director and producer who has been active in Plattform Produktion since 2005, and co-owner since 2012, together with Ruben Östlund a.o. Since 2013 he closely collaborates with Maximilien Van Aertryck, whom he has co-produced and co-directed several films with. Their short films have premiered in the official competitions of Berlin, Cannes, Sundance and Toronto and European Film Awards (EFA). “Ten Meter Tower”, one of their latests shorts, was shortlisted for an Academy Award as well as nominated for an Emmy. They are currently editing their first joint feature documentary “Broadcast”, and developing another feature about awake brain surgeries. Between 2012 - 2019, Axel Danielson was teaching at the master's program at Valand Academy of the Arts, University of Gothenburg.
