Yudhajit Basu joined Film & Television Institute of India, Pune in the Direction Department. He has graduated in Mass Communication and Videography from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, India and has made short films & documentaries. He was invited to participate in the Opening Scenes Lab at 52nd edition of Visions du Réel, Switzerland where his film ‘Kalsubai’ did the World Premiere. Yudhajit formed U-Turn Pictures in 2017 and made three short films. These films have been screened at various National & International Film Festivals including Visions du Réel, Oberhausen ISFF,Vienna Shorts,Sheffield Docs,Ismailia ISFF, Maryland IFF, idsffk Kerala and many more. Their recent work ‘Kalsubai’ won the grand online Prize and a special mention from the Ecumenical Jury at 2021 Oberhausen ISFF.
