Emilio works as a street cleaner in Rio de Janeiro. He is also a priest of Candomblé. While making a portrait film, the director opens up to a religion that has always been around, but he never noticed. A personal investigation on identity and the materialization of enchantments. Brazilian non-fiction filmmaker and editor. Diego has a magna cum laude diploma from Luca School of Arts in Brussels as part of his Master’s degree at Doc Nomads (2020). His graduation film 0.2 Milligrams of Gold world premiered at Camden IFF (Sept 2021) and then was shown in many festivals such as Dok Leipzig (Oct 2021) and Palm Springs (Jul 2022). Diego is the founder, director, and producer at ¡Para Vigo Me Voy!, a production company based in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro that develops independent cinema in the region.
