Miguel Hilari (Aymara/German) is based in La Paz, Bolivia. His films deal with migration, work and indigenous identity. They were screened at venues like Cinéma du Réel, CPH:DOX, Oberhausen, Images or Lincoln Center and received awards at Visions du Réel, ImagineNATIVE, FIDOCS, Márgenes and Transcinema. He is recipient of several grants and scholarships, including The Flaherty Seminar, Akademie der Künste Berlin and indigenous film collective COUSIN. He works as filmmaker and producer and leads a project of film workshops in public rural schools.
