ABOUT
An old painting is the last trace of the lagoon that has dried up, its contours are blurred. The memories of the people who inhabited it are evoked and intertwined in the search for a place now absent. When the landscape has faded, where to look?
Filmmaker and visual artist. Graduated in Documentary Directing from the Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV – EICTV in Cuba and in Communication from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana in Honduras. Currently she is a student of DocNomads, an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Documentary Filmmaking in Portugal, Hungary and Belgium. In 2022, participated as a professional development fellow in the 67th Flaherty Film Seminar: Continents of Drifting Clouds and in 2020, she was part of the Audiovisual Preservation Intensive Program of the Audiovisual Heritage Society. Her work have been screened in film festivals such as Visions du Reél, Camden IFF, Frontera Sur, CRFIC, Kinoforum, among others. And exhibited in museums and spaces in Central America and the Caribbean, Colombia, México, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, United States, Spain, England and Southeast Asia. Through the Araña Lunática project she explores the possibilities of embroidery.
