ABOUT

After the largest mining dam break in Brazil’s history, a community in Minas Gerais reckons with the fragility of all the other dams surrounding their homes. The looming danger is accentuated by the fact that neither the state nor the mining companies are willing to take ownership and responsibility of the inflicted damage from before. This portrait of resistance from dam refugees and their activists, led by strong-willed Teca, paints a picture of the possibilities of collective power.
