Softly in all directions
ABOUT
Weaving together a tapestry of life stories from Alex, Florin, Sașa and other characters we meet along the way, Softly in all directions is a portrait of a vibrant and intergenerational LGBTQ+ community. From the adventures of queer youth building a life for themselves to archivists revealing hidden histories to a network of organizers fighting for legal rights, the film uncovers a queer legacy that is a rich cultural inheritance not only for the LGBTQ+ community, but for all Romanians. Depicting our remarkable capacity to heal from past traumas and imagine new futures, these interconnected stories construct a mosaic of memory, imagination, and survival shared across generations.
