We’re honored to announce that we’ve been awarded the Economic Enhancement Award by the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce. This Award recognizes an organization that has made a major economic investment or enhanced our local economy and resulted in a significant improvement to the region’s economy in the preceding year.

Here is what the chamber had to say about CIFF…”Well beyond the “butts in seats” and “hotel stays, meals purchased” this premier documentary film festival has also delivered diversity, inspiration and information to our area. In the early fall, the four day multi format event will once again host more than 60 film-makers and sell thousands of tickets to screenings and events in venues from Rockland to Northport. Two additional employees have been hired and the 18 member strong board of directors continues to work closely with founder Ben Fowlie to create one of the top 25 documentary film festivals in the world. Celebrating “small towns, big films”, we would like to recognize the Camden International Film Festival.”

Thanks to the PBRCC, and the countless sponsors and supporters who have believed in us over the years. This award is recognition of your support.
