CIFF’s unique combination of screenings, masterclasses, workshops, and special events would not be possible without the generosity and support of our outstanding volunteer teams. They love film, love our communities, and work tirelessly to create the best CIFF experience possible for all our attendees and guests. We are excited to be recruiting for this year’s Festival running September 17th to 20th!

As a CIFF volunteer, you’ll enjoy an unusual, behind-the-scenes experience with one of the top documentary film festivals in the world. You’ll meet new people and enjoy access to festival events. Most importantly, you’ll be part of the growing CIFF family!

Volunteer Benefits

Every volunteer is essential to making Points North’s year-round work possible but we especially rely on our community of volunteers to make the annual Camden International Festival a success. In addition to our eternal gratitude, volunteers earn perks like individual screening tickets, admittance to the iconic CIFF After Dark parties, or for the truly dedicated volunteer festival passes. 

Every volunteer is essential to making this festival a success. Depending on your availability and interests, as well as our needs, hours may be completed before or during the festival weekend.

Be a Festival Friend in 2025

With every 4 hours of your time, you’ll earn our eternal gratitude, and 1 ticket for general admission to any film of your choice during the in-person Festival September 11-14th.

Be a Festival Fan in 2025

With every 8 hours of your time, choose between a ticket to use at one of our After Dark parties OR 2 tickets for general admission to any films of your choice during the in-person Festival September 11-14th.

Be a Volunteer Hero in 2025

With every 16 hours you have the choice between 2 tickets to our After Dark parties, a CIFF Screenings Pass, OR a Cabin Fever Pass. The CIFF Screenings pass includes admission to all in-person screenings at all venues during CIFF in-person festival September 11-14th. It does NOT include access to the Points North Forum, the Industry Lounge, or access to parties or receptions. 

Be a Volunteer Legend in 2025

Volunteering for 24 hours or more earns a CIFF All Access Pass. The CIFF All Access Pass includes admission to all CIFF screenings, access to the Points North Forum, the beloved Points North Pitch, and access to CIFF After Dark parties. It does NOT include access to the Industry Lounge.
