We are excited to be recruiting for this year’s Festival running September 17th to 20th!

As a CIFF volunteer, you’ll enjoy an unusual, behind-the-scenes experience with one of the top documentary film festivals in the world. You’ll meet new people and enjoy access to festival events. Most importantly, you’ll be part of the growing CIFF family!

Volunteer Benefits

Every volunteer is essential to making this festival a success. Depending on your availability and interests, as well as our needs, hours may be completed before or during the festival weekend.

Be a Festival Friend in 2026
With every 4 hours of your time, you’ll earn our eternal gratitude, and 1 ticket for general admission to any film of your choice during the Festival.

Be a Festival Fan in 2026
With every 8 hours of your time, you’ll earn our eternal gratitude, and one ticket to use at one of our After Dark parties OR 2 tickets for general admission to any films of your choice during the Festival.

Be a Volunteer Hero in 2026
With every 16 hours you have the option to select the benefit of 1 Screenings Pass for general admission to any films of your choice during the Festival OR 2 tickets to our After Dark parties.

Be a Volunteer Legend in 2026
Volunteering for 24 hours or more earns a CIFF Points North Pass. The CIFF Points North Pass includes admission to all in-person screenings at all venues during CIFF’s during CIFF in-person festival September 17–20th, access to the Points North Forum, the beloved Points North Pitch, and access to CIFF After Dark parties.
