Peter Sasowsky is a writer and filmmaker based in New York and Los Angeles. He is the founder of director of Serious Motion Pictures, LLC a script-to-screen boutique production company producing work for commercial clients as well as narrative and documentary films on culture, environment and the arts. (www.seriousmotionpictures.com) His documentary feature Heaven + Earth + Joe Davis, won top honors at SF Indie Film Festival, and Memphis Independent Film Festival. His short narrative film Mojave was awarded best Narrative Short at the Greenpoint Film Festival. He is currently at work on a series of documentaries helping to preserve the culture and language of the Lakota (Oglala) Sioux.

Amy Grumbling co-produced the award-winning feature documentary Heaven + Earth + Joe Davis, about a biological artist who encodes poetry into DNA and sends messages into outer space. She has been a freelance producer, shooter, editor, and documentary filmmaker in NYC for over a decade, and she was an Associate Programmer at UnionDocs. She studied video production and forensic anthropology at Hampshire College, and is is currently the Director of Continuing Education at DCTV, where she oversees the filmmaking workshops for adults and DCTV’s Documentary Work-In-Progress Lab. She is an ACA certified canoe trip leader and instructor at the North Brooklyn Boat Club and has been a beekeeper at Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery since 2017.
