In the Shadow of Light

ABOUT

A small town in rural Chile is home to the power plant that electrifies the rest of the country. The same town, paradoxically, lacks public lighting and suffers multiple power outages. Carefully constructed via lyrical compositions, In The Shadow of the Light articulates the sonority of the power grid, transporting us into several other juxtapositions: the city and the mountain, light and dark, industrialization and people. All the while, a child hunts rabbits, sometimes stunning them with a light, leaving us to watch the landscape via infrared.
