Emilia Mello's first feature documentary, No Kings, received support from the Tribeca Film Institute, dok.incubator, Atelier Jeunes Cineastes and Court 13 Arts. It premiered at CPH:Dox 2020 and received a Special Jury Prize at the IsReal Festival in Sardinia. She graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a degree in Evolution and Environmental Biology and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been supported by Sundance and Visions du Réel and shown at the Museum of Modern Art.
