In this maximalist celebration of trans* and nonbinary lives, director Paul B. Preciado employs an all-ages cast of players to embody Virgina Woolfe’s gender-bending protagonist, Orlando. Through cinematic play, queer people fool around with their image in the public imagination, while relishing in the truth of their lives and legacies. Orlando, my political biography shows us that change is no longer just about gender, but also about poetry, love and skin color.
