Brazilian-French artist, filmmaker, writer, born in Recife, Brazil. Lives and works between France and Brazil. Masters degree in Photography/Video Art, followed by Le Fresnoy (France) post-graduation. PhD degree about the uses of documents in contemporary art at École Sup. Européenne de l’Image. Uses various forms: photography, cinema, video art and performance. One of the main axes of his work is the issue of "foreignness" and related forms of instability and perspectives breaking points as well as the possibilities and the need to find an anchorage, be it territorial, historical, bodily or identity wise. His works have screened widely in film and arts contexts. He has displayed his work in many prestigious venues, has participated in international labs and was an awardee of different grants and prizes such as: Biennale College Cinema (IT), New York Film Fest.
