Sharon Shattuck is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker and podcast host. Her film Picture A Scientist (2020) was an official selection of the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. From This Day Forward (2015) was a New York Times Critic's Pick, broadcast on POV/PBS and was distributed by Netflix, SundanceNow, Amazon, iTunes and VHX. She's the co-host of the Gimlet/Spotify podcast Conviction: American Panic, and the co-creator of the Emmy-nominated New York Times Op-Docs short film series 'Animated Life.' She has degrees in forest ecology and journalism.
