Coby Yee, a 92 year old retired nightclub dancer and icon from San Francisco Chinatown, and Stephen King, an experimental filmmaker 20 years her junior have found an unlikely love in each other through matching outfits, dance, and art. Stephen is intensely interested in images, film, and memory and manages an eccentric archive of Coby’s illustrious dancing career. As their last dance performance in Las Vegas approaches, Coby and Stephen prepare a final routine.

Luka Yuanyuan Yang (b.1989, Beijing) is a visual artist and filmmaker. Her works blend documentary and archival materials through diverse mediums, such as films, books, installations, and performances. As a filmmaker, her work has been featured in the New Yorker, New Orleans Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Camden International Film Festival, Asian American International Film Festival, Women Make Waves. Her first feature film “Chinatown Cha-Cha”(currently in post-production) has received support from The Gotham, Doc Edge, Pingyao International Film Festival, Beijing International Film Festival, CNEX, and Shanyi International Women's Film Festival. She is currently working on her second feature film “Echoes”, a project sponsored by Asymmetry Art Foundation. Luka's artwork has received support from institutions such as the KADIST Foundation and Asian Cultural Council. She has also earned numerous international accolades, including BVLGARI Avrora Award and Huayu Youth Award.

Carlo Nasisse is a cinematographer and director whose work explores the relationships between humans, landscape, and politics. His work has been featured in The New Yorker, PBS, SXSW, Slamdance, SFFILM, Big Sky, and Camden Film Festival. He co-directed and shot the film, “Coby and Stephen Are In Love” which was acquired by The New Yorker, has been featured in international exhibits at the Rockbund Art Museum and the Times Art Center Berlin and was an honorable mention at the Atlanta Film Festival, Indie Grits, and New Orleans Film Festival. His first feature film, “Stay Here Awhile” premiered in 2023 on PBS. He co-directed, wrote, and shot, “Direcciones” which won the grand jury prize for best documentary short at the 2023 San Francisco Film Festival. His second feature, “Mundo De Cerros” (in post production) was awarded grants from the Austin Film Society and Fejos Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ethnographic Film. He is currently completing his MFA at Stanford University.
