This year’s Summer Party was held on July 10th at the Rockland Strand.

Join us on Thursday, July 10th at 6:30pm, at the Strand Theatre in Rockland.

Points North Institute’s 2025 CIFF Summer Party featured a screening of the acclaimed documentary, Middletown, and was followed by a Q&A with film subject, Fred Isseks. The event also included a sneak peek of the fall festival program with a selection of film trailers and the announcement of the free public screening of Ian Cheney’s Observer on Wednesday, September 10th at 6pm.

On Thursday, July 10, the Points North Institute will host its annual CIFF Summer Party at the Strand Theatre in Rockland featuring a screening of the acclaimed documentary, Middletown, followed by a Q&A with film subject, Fred Isseks. The event is a fundraiser for the 21st edition of the Camden International Film Festival (CIFF) and will also feature live music and a sneak peek of trailers for films screening the festival in September. Individual tickets are just $35 and include a free drink!

Middletown

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Lhakpa Sherpa — who has summited Mount Everest ten times, the most of any woman in the world — moderated by Sean Flynn, Points North’s Program Director and Co-Founder. The lighthouse tower at the Shotwell houses a new Digital Cinema Package (DCP) 4k laser projector for image quality that will amaze viewers from every spot on the site.
